Information Provided by Visitors
Search submissions
A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider's terms and privacy policy govern its handling of the submitted query and any result it returns.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or other contact message, we retain the information supplied in order to read and respond to it. We do not share message content outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Technical Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, the site and its service providers may receive routine technical information when a page loads. This data helps operate, secure, and understand the service.
- Internet protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring page, if one was supplied
- Dates and times of requests
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand aggregate use and remember technical preferences. A browser can limit or block cookies, although some site functions may then behave differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information may be used to keep the site available, route a submitted search to the relevant partner, measure which pages are useful, diagnose technical problems, and present advertising that may be interest-based. It is not used to make an official custody decision or to create a government record.
Other Websites and Services
Links can lead to LAPD, county detention, public-records, court, corrections, federal, and third-party services. Once a visitor follows a link, that other organization controls its own content and privacy practices. For example, a county public-records request is governed by the county process and applicable New Mexico law, including the Inspection of Public Records Act request provision, not this policy.
Advertising partners may collect activity across sites to support interest-based advertising on their own systems. Their handling of that activity is governed by their own notices and choices.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be handled by the limited service categories needed to run a search, measure use, deliver advertising, or comply with lawful obligations.
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Analytics providers
- Advertising networks
- Law-enforcement agencies or other public bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
Security Practices
We use reasonable safeguards intended to protect information in our control. No internet-connected service can guarantee complete security, and no measure should be understood as a promise that a transmission or stored item will never be accessed, altered, or lost.
Visitors Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A parent, guardian, or other person who believes a minor provided information may contact us to request its deletion.
Your Information Choices
A visitor may ask about personal information we hold in connection with a direct message and may request a copy, correction, deletion, or an opt out of certain processing where applicable. Such a request does not change data that a separate search, advertising, government, or court provider holds under its own rules.
Policy Changes
We may revise this policy when practices or services change. Any revised policy takes effect when posted here with its updated effective date.
