This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, verify release, obtain or release a booking record, post bond, or act for an agency. Contact the responsible official office below for those functions.

Where to Ask About a Record

Los Alamos County assigns custody, police records, public-records requests, sheriff matters, and court files to different offices. Use the contact that matches the question. A phone call can clarify the correct route, but a formal record request may still be required for a report or booking photograph.

The county records and custody page explains the official-first sequence and the difference between an arrest report, a current-custody question, a booking photograph request, and a court disposition. No public county roster, booking-photo policy, or routine booking feed was verified.

  • For a White Rock or Los Alamos townsite police report, begin with LAPD Records and identify the name, approximate date, and known case or arrest number.
  • For present county custody, ask Detention Control. A released person may no longer appear in a current-status response even if an agency retains a record.
  • For a specific record that is not posted online, send a narrow written IPRA request to the county custodian.
  • For a municipal case or possible bench-warrant issue, contact Municipal Court. The court, not an outside listing, determines the status of its own matters.
  • For a state-prison custody question, use the NMCD Offender Search. For federal or immigration custody, use the responsible federal locator, which has a separate scope.
